You Used to Play What Musical Instrument?

[Miss Kitty]

Tried piano.

Rubboard

Drum sticks

Cowbell

Steven plays guitar...I lost count how many he has.

Mr. K played the drums in the Signal Hill Band (Hi, pea!)

sarafunn just plays with my emotions

[Beachbummette]

[Beach Runner]

ditto here. Ours is no longer a living room either. Except my sons sheet music is never in piles - it's strewn across most surfaces. Then he's majorly panicked when it's time to find what he needs.

I hear ya.

[SHELLY]

8-Track Player

.

[Lady D]

Piano by ear and guitar. And tambourine. Oh, and played around on my brother's drum set to records also when younger.

[Matt J]

Piano, but finally whined enough about our tone deaf dragon breathed teacher. As far as I know the Stubb's Music Center of Tallahassee is still open. Makes me shudder just to think of that old hag. Then tried drums, but guess what, I'm white and have no rhythm.

[Lady D]

We were in guitar center last Friday night and there is a certain room for drums and a certain room for rap music equipment and a certain room for all classical and acoustic guitars, outer area for electric guitars, etc. There was a little girl in the drum room that appeared to be 3 years old sitting behind a big set of drums beating on them. Actually didn't sound that bad for one so young.

[Will B]

Trombone for 3 years
Taught myself Baritone and played that for a year
Taught myself Tuba and played that for two years. That was a natural transition to bass guitar.
Then there's guitar, drums, and the Chapman Stick (you'll have to go here to understand that one...http://www.stick.com/method/greg_howard2.wmv

But alas...I put all of that away and, now, sing A Cappella. There's a lot less equipment involved!

[InletBchDweller]

piano

[DuneAHH]

I took piano lessons for years ... about the time I "got decent", I also "got too cool" and quit (stupid teenager that I was). Now I don't even remember scales or turkey-in-the-straw.

The only musical instrument I play now is steering wheel percussion and the CD player. But I'm still ahead of Shelley & the 8 track
