Nope, no soul, this is it, lights out, just like before you were born. Absolutely one of my goals is to see how long I can last, in relative comfort with a sound mind of course. I also have a loosely defined bucket list.

We are hardly perfect, that's why we have things like cancer. A designer would have done a much better job. The earth is not a miracle, and therefore it stands to reason that life could exist on other planets. If I'm wrong, then I stand corrected, just like any other time I'm wrong.

I love your “lights out“ analogy, because that’s how I often think. Obviously, I wasn’t around with my parents or aware of the time they grew up in or their meeting and making me. My spouse is 14 years older than me. So I can I can only relate to the time we met, not anything before.

Whenever someone dies, whether they are personally related, or famous, I always say “well now they know or not.” YMMV!

It was the result of having multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching — "turn the other cheek" — [and] to have someone come up after to say, "Where did you get those liberal talking points?" And what was alarming to me is that in most of these scenarios, when the pastor would say, "I'm literally quoting Jesus Christ," the response would not be, "I apologize." The response would be, "Yes, but that doesn't work anymore. That's weak." And when we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we're in a crisis.

That's just it - it's not meant to be a sandbox. At least not one with bullies and trolls. Be nice or leave is a good slogan that you see in NOLA a lot and it is honest and direct and is a good way to run a forum IMHO.

If you want to attack people and post misinformation, then Facebook or Twitter or other social media is the place - not here.
