a friends trip

my ex-boyfriend, who i'm still great friends with is a sports photographer (kayaking and whitewater rafting) traveled to india and pakistan to photograph and experience life there for the next few months. he just arrived and sent an email that i would like to share with you all. as soon as he sends some photos i'll post here. he's told me numerous of times exactly where he is currently but i can't remember, i'll ask him again. all i can remember him mentioning is quetta and hanna lake.

i dont think you could comprehend the disparity in life here....on one hand there are buildings that look like NYC, on the other hand, well you would not believe the filth...i think park would have to airlifted to Northwest Regional via Rocketship.....i have a job paying 9,000 rupees a month, plus free food and board, however thats about $250 a month US eek..however there are 100 rafting companies and no photo business, so i might be able to do something in the future...i just rode a bus to town, you would not believe it if i told the way these people drive..im going to Lahore tommorow, on the border with Pakistan, very Sketchy, even according to my new Indian Friends, Who knows?

also, about 25 monkeys were around my tent this morning

Made it to my mtg. Overslept, hair dryer broke and flat tire. One of those days, Mama! My babies don't like to get awake early either.

But, last night I walked to the convenience market to get a lottery ticket and I saw the cutest man with two dahling puppies! A German Shorthaired Pointer - about 8 wks and a Golden (just like the one on the Cottonelle ad - also about 8 wks.). Both had puppy breath and were absolutely adorable!

I did not win the lottery.

I am getting a new washer/dryer. I am leaning towards the front loading Maytag, in white, which is $100 cheaper than a color. Can't have the Bosch one. By the time it gets put on it's pedestal, I am too short to see the controls located on the top. Are Germans like really really tall?

That's a German design flaw! They'll have to start putting the controls on the front istead of top front.
