drug movies

I loved John Travolta in this. His dancing scene with Uma is one of my favorites too. I saw this movie in Chicago, after I had been mugged at seven months pregnant with a gun aimed at my stomach. Very long story, which I will condense. A druggie saw me walking as a easy target (broad daylight 2 blocks from Lincoln Park Zoo) My purse was strapped across my very pregnant belly. I didn't see him until the gun was pointed at me. I froze, then threw my purse at him and he took off running. I was traumatized, went into early labor, was on my back for most of the rest of the pregnancy. We had just moved to Linclon Park and I was scared to death. Anyway, fast forward to 3 months later, on our first date night without the baby. We see Pulp Fiction in a Chicago theater. It was so dark in the theater. When the needle was plunged into the heart or neck (I can't remember which body part) I leapt almost into the next row of seats. I know my experience and out of whack hormones triggered my reactions. Maybe it WAS me, but gosh that movie was so intense!

Also in the funny camp: Harold and Kumar go to White Castle

It's not easy to make a good dumb comedy, but this one works. It made me laugh harder than I have in a long time. Dougie Houser! Cheetahs! Gratuitous Chris Meloni! An insane raccoon! All mixed in with a classic buddies on a road trip plot.

Yikes! What a horrible experience! So sorry.
