I did not win the lottery - AGAIN! Already got some chores done, though!

My oak is shedding helicopters - and, there are berries all over the deck that Sweet Pea and Cowboy are tracking in - have many more chores today - then it's time to play!

What's a shame? :idontno: ooooh, bad veeners and those injected lips out there!

I am getting a new washer/dryer. I am leaning towards the front loading Maytag, in white, which is $100 cheaper than a color. Can't have the Bosch one. By the time it gets put on it's pedestal, I am too short to see the controls located on the top. :floor: Are Germans like really really tall?
buy bosch, the laundry nazis have pedestals of different heights. i'll be over later with spraypaint...maytag is best for blue cheese/crackers

I need a new washer and dryer. I don't like the pedestals because I use the tops of my washer and dryer as part of my folding space. Plus I have an adjacent cabinet to the left with a sink and to the right with a long counter top for folding, so putting appliances on pedestals would disturb the flow of the room. Can't you get the Bosch without the pedestals? I know that's the case with other brands.

I'm going white, too. Not paying extra for SS or a color. Besides, the cabinetry is white and the floor in that wing of the house is black and white.

So, I talk in my sleep. Hubby told me that last night I started saying over and over "I can't get the arguments!" He said, "For what?" Finally I said, "The functions!"

You know you're a certified nerd if you have dreams (or nightmares) about mathematical functions in Excel.:rolling:

BR, I used to recite complex mathematical equations in my sleep.

Was funn~~~~~~
Really?

My Texas grandfather used to sleepwalk. On several occasions he went to the neighbor's house and took their dishes out of the kitchen cabinet and put them on the counter. :idontno: He had no memory of doing this.

I really want to trust you here. Bosch over Maytag? I have figured out it is possible with the lower profile pedestal. I like the fewer number of buttons to push and the clean lines. No need the spray paint, but love me some maytag cheese!

Yes, you can get any of these front loaders w/o pedestals, as they nickel and dime you for them. They do have two heights in the pedestals, which might help you...placing these machines off the ground onto a pedestal will be so much easier on the back. I have always purchased white w/d. Look cleaner to me and my cabinents in the laundry are white, too, so it is a no brainer for me to save $200!

I need to go take a nap so I can go with Mr. K later to pick the machines out. I like my man to go with me....so he can pull out his credit card.

P.S. I have been up since 3 am and I am in a zombie like state.

We had our counters in the laundry room built the same height as our washer and dryer, 36 inches. Am I gonna be able to find a 36" high washer and dryer?

BTW we are so tall that we have 38" high kitchen counters in both houses. My best friend and her husband are tall, and they built theirs 40 inches high in their house here and when they moved back to SC. I remember someone saying that when their GA house was on the market, someone who looked at the house said she was too short to reach their kitchen counters.

I hear ya on shopping with hubby. ;-)

Poor Kitty! Have a nice nap!
