Fall SoWal Soiree Date

I'm glad everyone had a good weekend and the weather held out for y'all.
I haven't left the house since I got home Friday night after .38 Special.
I felt it coming on Friday night and told KitLit and Swafia I might not make it to the beach and sure enuff,
I never made it off the couch... much.:sick:
There will be other funktions.
I'm sure I saw another fellow Sowalian Friday night, but can't place him to save my life. He stood right smack in front of me most of the night.

Did anyone else go to that Indian Summer Seafood & Whine Fiaso?
$5 to park.
$20 to get in and for what, I'm still not sure.
$24 for 6 beers. (not for me, I had company!)
$12 for a seafood platter from a local establishment that could have been a take out order from Capt. D's.
All that to hear .38 Special finally sing "Hold on Loosely" at 11pm, which I already had on an extended live version in the car.:angry:

Yes I'm still miserable and cranky this morning, but it makes me feel good to know that y'all were able to meet up for your various funktions and have a grayt time.

I don't even want to talk about the LSU debacle....

It was fun. Sorry I could not have stayed longer. Had to go to a NRA banquet that I had forgotten about.

That was the first time I had seen a shark so close to shore on the Gulf side. Of course it has been 20 years since I spent days at the beach, but is that becoming pretty normal?

I missed you! I soooo wanted to go to .38 Special Friday night, but I found myself driving back from Orlando instead (amidst a bunch of folks headed to the LSU debacle ).

Hope you feel much better really soon! And if you are interested, I have an extra ticket, maybe two, for an event on October 25...in Tallahassee...;-)

And it was great seeing all and meeting more of y'all yesterday evening...sorry I had to stumble off (because of my foot, not any other reason...no other reason at all ) early!

Kudos to whoever brought the pudding shots, and the wings...and special thanks to wrobert, for doing the old boy scout trick to open Fuzz's beer, IBD, for just being you (Fuzz wants a copy of that thing you had), Crazy K for helping me walk (not sure who was helping who), for SGG for driving us up to my uncle's house, where we had parked - which was no easy feat with the CHELCO trucks in the way (no, those noises were not fireworks) - and many others who I can't remember right now, but it will come to me later.

Thanks, but, I'll be at family reunion in Eugene Oregon that day, and the last time I was out there during one of those special "Tallahassee" events, it wasn't even televised out there. Imagine that. And for this Thursday's event, I'll be flying out west, so I'll miss two.

I was wishing I had a camera to capture the little organicmama kiddies with their icing faces - they were munching out on some orange halloween cupcakes!!! adorable.

They were adorable! The youngest with the orange icing circled around his mouth!

Geo's dog (what is her name - Emma?) was one of the most fun people I met. she was too adorable.

Grayt family! Geo, Mrs. Geo and Baby Geo were a pleasure to meet.

Had such a beautiful time at the soiree..sharks, otters, kittys', booby's...what a blast! And those that did not attend were sorely missed.
