Witnessed Air Show Crash

New posts
:(So sad, Mango.

:(

Yes, we are still kind of shocked. They finally released the name of the pilot.

Vincent Nasta was an art teacher at Riverhead High School and illustrator of children's books who flew planes recreationally. He had flown both restored originals and replicas in numerous air shows and was also a certified commercial flight instructor, according to officials at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. He is survived by his wife. A telephone listing for Nasta couldn't be located Monday.
He was 47 years old. :(

RIP Vincent.

Mango, I know this is really upsetting. You probably feel bad having seen it, and in some way feel part of it.
When we heard about the two boys that got struck by lightning in the bay, we felt very certain we saw the lightning bolt. We watched the storm come over the bay and saw a very significant strike. My husband and I both felt like we saw it happen in some way.:( We have a son their age.

It took me a few days to quit "seeing it".

My thoughts are with his family and with you too.
