WaterColor Market has closed, and is being replaced by ??? ... rumor mill spits out Starbucks and a Pizza place. The Baithouse, located in WaterColor near the Lake and pool about 300 yards north of the Market, is selling Starbucks coffees and teas in addition to newspapers, which were available at the Market.

The Baithouse is once again open for breakfast and lunch 7 days per week :clap_1:, and starting on Monday, they will be open for dinner 7 days per week. There is a twist to the dinner menu with it being a set menu served family style and will be different each day of the week. Also, on Sundays, they will serve Brunch until 3pm.

Sad about the WaterColor market. I loved there Waldorf chicken salad.

WTF!!!!!! How can this be? I am going to start crying. Did it close this week?

Maybe I should come down and open a Houston's and a Chic-fil-a. It would get all you locals all riled up, but you wouldn't be mad at me because you too know that if you could bathe in Polynesian sauce from Chicie you woud do it. And Houston's...well it's the best.

Thoughts Smiley J. I'm so corporate now...I think I can bring you to the dark side.

I can't believe this! I haven't recovered from Shades closing and now WC Market!! We liked to get coffee, newspapers and muffins early in the mornings and sit outside by the fountain.

BTW, I'm coming down on Friday---daughter's spring break!! I hope the weather is great. It's 73 here in Tenn. today :clap_1:

They have the coffee, muffins, and newspaper at the Baithouse, and there is an abundance of beauty all around there.

:( to hear about the loss of WaterColor Market. They had wonderful soups/salads/sandwiches and the takeout meal was so convenient and reasonably priced. Harder to get to the Baithouse, park, grab a coffee and paper. FYI, Grayton General Store also carries the NY Times, a Birmingham paper, Atlanta Constitution, and others. Hate to say it, but the loss of unique spots (such as Seagrove Market Cafe) is something we might as well get used to. It saddens me so, because these are also the places of my childhood. But it's amazing how many people (same in our CA town) profess to love these spots, but do not patronize them. People here will complain that there is no place to buy BVD three-packs, when they've really been driving 35 miles to the closest mall to buy them at Macy's for the past 25 years.

Okay...off the soapbox. I'm going to start a thread identifying South Walton landmarks and what can be done to save them! :clap_1:
