Me, too. I loved him *so* much. Still do. He loved it that I was good at math because that was his favorite subject. He encouraged me to do well in it and gave me confidence that even though I am a female, I could do well in math. I wouldn't have a Ph.D. in it if it weren't for him.I still miss my Dad.
I'll have to give my Mom some credit -- when a lot of my friends were leaving Tulane after their sophomore year and transferring to the University of Texas, I wanted to do that and major in interior design. Mom said Daddy wouldn't like that. He died my freshman year.
