Paint Test Menu #2

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions, comments, photos, and even some snail mails. We are kept focused by the momentum. This week's paint scheme we're ruminating on is a combo that reflects the landscape, the water, and the beach: golden tan the shade of sea oats for the walls, deep teal blue as in color's color at Destin Bridge for the French doors, and white trim for the woodworking and French door framing. As you can see, we are still very open-minded about the eventual choice.

Here's another sample menu for our winner's choice dinner.

Angels on Horseback, an Appalachicola oyster wrapped with bacon and grilled; paired with a Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc. (Sauvignon blanc is good with oysters for its taste, but also because it contains a substance that neutralizes any touch of salmonella.)

Salad of sliced heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozarella cheese slices, and fresh basil, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and a hint of balsamic vinegar; paired with a Sanford (Santa Ynez Valley) Pinot Noir.

Charcoal-grilled Fillet Mignon on a toasted Garlic Crouton and topped with a Cabernet Shallot au Jus; paired with Duckhorn Private Reserve Napa Valley Merlot and a Napa Valley Paradigm Cabernet Sauvignon.

Served with Cabernet-glazed Pearl Onions and a Puree of Celeriac and New Potato.

Buttermilk Pana Cotta with Mixed Berries and Raspberry Sauce, served with a warm, sugar-dusted Madeleine cookie (a la Proust); paired with a glass of Schramsberg Napa Valley Sparkling Wine.

Double Espressos, served with Dark Chocolate-dipped Soft Caramels topped with Coarse Sea Salt.

 Thanks again to all of you for putting thought into Conch Out's face lift.

Donna, that sounds heavenly. Just PM me with the details and I'll be at your table. ;-)

I like the paint colors, too. :clap_1:

My tummy is growling!!! The colors sound lovely!

OK, this is clearly the same color as the burlap shade I suggested in my scheme, so I'm going to go ahead and accept your dinner invitation--thanks so much!
