Did I scare y'all with the thread title?

I had a surprise delivery at my front door this morning. Thanks for the photo Kurt!! "Mandatory Evacuation" is even more impressive in person. I can't wait to get it framed.

Thanks for bringing it by too!

Everyone needs to order their copy of "Mandatory Evacuation" today! If you're lucky, the artist/photographer might deliver it himself!

Oh, is that the one of Dennis looming on the horizon over the sea?

Yes, it is. It is a beautiful picture. It shows Mother Nature at her best and her worst at the same time.

I have a couple of prime spots in my house that I'm saving for an original Kurt photo....or two. My problem is that I can't seem to pick a favorite. There are just too many that grab me.

Kurt's photos are awe-inspiring, to say the least. Sure, he has good equipment, but give him a cardboard camera and he'd still be able to pull out something magical. Because he has the two talents aspiring photographers like myself covet: The eye and the timing. You can learn composition, but timing can't be taught, really. It happens naturally in 1/100th of a second, faster than you can think. Man, SoWal would be lucky if there were a permanent Kurt gallery somewhere, even if it were in the TDC or a good restaurant...

  Thanks so much guys.

I'm working on it. Several people have talked to me about hanging stuff here and there, and I am working on editing and printing.

That is an incredible picture. If I had the $ I'd order one myself.. o well. :) I'll just have to look at it online..
