Kitchenique has been a fixture in Destin and Walton County since 1985 and the cornerstone of the local culinary community. The first location opened at Destin’s Shoreline Village Mall in July 1985; followed by a second store at The Market Shops at Sandestin. The Kitchenique Cooking School was introduced in 1999. In 2009, the store and cooking school moved to the current location at 36150 Emerald Coast Parkway Suite # 111 in Destin, approximately ¼ mile east of the Mid Bay Bridge.

Kitchenique will be open for business as usual and scheduling classes through the month as a farewell celebration and an opportunity for those who have Gift Certificates to use them, should they wish. The final class will be on Valentines Day, Thursday, February 14th. The store will be closed to the public on Friday and Saturday, February 15th & 16th for a private sale by invitation only.

Kitchenique will re-open on Monday, February 18th to the general public to liquidate remaining inventory, furniture and fixtures by February 28th.

Kitchenique has enjoyed a loyal following from the local community as well as visitors who made the destination a part of their travels to Destin.

The Kitchenique Cooking School has been rated #1 and #2 Attractions in Destin by TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel website. Celebrated local, regional, national and internationally renowned chefs and restaurateurs have been featured in the state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen. Through the years, Kitchenique's guests and friends have sampled some of the best cuisine and wine along the Emerald Coast.

In 2011 the Kitchenique Cooking School Cookbook was published and will soon be updated with a Chef’s Collection of Recipes and a second edition printing. Kitchenique will continue marketing on its web sitewww.kitchenique.com and may be reached by email at Kitchenique@earthlink.net.
