This show actually turned out much better than I would have thought - very addictive and tons better than American Idol. My favorite was Jordis, but she wasn't right for the band - hopefully she gets picked up by someone and comes out with a CD.

I didnt expect the show to be much, but maybe thats because i was never into INXS style pop dance music, or whatever it is. But yeah, i caught on at the very end because the contestants were actually really good, singing good, classic rock tunes, not Barry Manilow (or as my friends call him, "Barely Manenough" :rofl: ) Jordis is the real deal. As were several others. But Jordis has now been taken under the wing of Dave Navarro, so expect to see some sort of collaboration there. He loves her and I can see why. I just love her voice.

I liked Deanna's voice. Reminded me of this blues band from Atlanta with a girl fronting it. Can't remember her name right now. I do remember one of their songs Sweet Saving Grace. I'll try to find it. Seems like it was the Diane something Band. :idontno:
 
I also enjoyed the level of respect that Dave and the band normally treated the contestants with. AI has become too much about Simon tearing them all down. The respect level, the deep contestant pool, the willingness to pay for the rights to some really great songs, the stellar quality of Our Band:House. I'm now thoroughly spoiled for Idol.

I hope it's back for another season next year.

You and I think alike. :D You are thinking of Diane Durrett (http://www.dianedurrett.com). We have see her a dozen times and she is in Atlanta local every month (She lives in Nashville I think).
