Heat index in Montgomery today will be 110. Isn't this fun? Can't wait to see the power bill this month. Be careful your hair doesn't catch fire when you go outside.

I know what you mean Landlocked.....it is hot, hot, hot here in Huntsville today too. I sure wish I was in the gulf right now....well, I guess it would depend on the flags!

With the arrival of afternoon clouds, then a thunderstorm last night, we finally saw the end of about a week of triple digits. We broke records 4 days in a row: Tuesday 101, Wednesday 105, you get the idea.
It was brutal, and I am so sick of that phrase: "But it's a dry heat."
Every time you step outside, you feel as though you are walking into a furnace.
I know about humidity, I spent 7 years on Long Island. But at least when you are in a humid climate, your skin doesn't look and feel like a potato chip! ::sigh::
On the front page of Saturday's newspaper there was a photo of a kid who was trying to hitchhike back to Florida. He had moved here to get away from the heat, and had decided he might as well go back home to find work.

Huh... Nooga is "only" looking at an index of 105. Guess I won't run today

The only time I run is if I'm being chased. No way I'd run in this heat. It is supposed to be even worse in Nooga tomorrow.

We have you beat here in muggy St. Louis...our heat index today is expected to reach 115!

Isn't it funny how it never seems quite as hot when you're near the beach? While 90 degrees feels yukky back home, it sure doesn't seem to bother us when we're down there! :idontno:

I'll take it. Nothing an umbrella and a couple beers wouldn't take care of!

Here in Missouri we are looking at 110 heat index as well!!! yuck!!!!

I am so sorry everyone is HOT! I feel for you. Here in Dallas we expect this heat in summer. People used to ask us why we went to Florida for summer vacation....answer was always...# 1. It's not in DALLAS #2 SoWal heat is so much better! Stay cool out there!
