Okay, I admit it. I'm addicted!

I get on a couple times a day just to see what y'all are talking about. (And it's not like I have time with 3 children running around, plus the rest of the neighborhood. We are the neighborhood headquarters.)

I like to check out the beach status and I am getting great ideas for places to go and things to see when we come back in 10 days. Yea!

I just leave the site up, bang on the space bar as I am running past, check out what is new on my way back by. I'm able to keep up with the news quite well since the computer is in the kitchen, I'm collecting all of the beach gear on the table, and I'm starting to get excited about packing!

I remember Opera having tabs about 8 years ago.
You remember right - probably where the Mozilla crew mined the concept. I liked Opera. They just couldn't plug the holes in the engine fast enough for it to catch on. FireFox finally hit the mark - just a browser that works, please, skip the kitchen sink ;-) Nowdays, only time I launch InternetExploder is for non-W3C compliant (M$) sites.

Opera's claim to fame is extremely quick download times and a small minimum disk requirement. Designers used to like to test their code with it because it strictly complies with HTML standards. Firefox has features that make it superior to IE. All of the computer-savvy college kids I know use it, but then they're all pretty much anti-Microsoft in general.

That (small & fast) was the attraction, but they didn't hit clean compliance 'til after I gave up on it. Anyway, testwise you had to go with the subset of spec that the bulk of the browser base could handle properly. ;-)

I can promise 240+ guests are not checking out whatever the hell those guys are talking about. :idontno: The better question is what would you be reading and replying to if it were a thread...not to say yours was not an excellent question.
