RSVP at www.rsvppc.com

Doesn't "RSVP" mean that we inform them whether or not we are attending, and if so, is this an invitation only? Or, are they simply trying to have people make reservations and didn't read the Amy Vanderbilt book? :idontno:

They need to figure out how many cocktail weinies will be needed ;-)

In that case, they are looking for "reservations," not RSVP's, but they are economists or something, so they probably don't know better.

Where is the Boardwalk and who or what is Infinity Blu? :idontno:

:floor:
What a goofy website that is. What is precedent setting about fractional owership at the beach? Is the economist speaker going to tell us?

The "invitation," comments (especially the "head count of...uh, I mean...for weinies") and the fractional's website provided lots of raw material --WAY too easy  and it pretty much speaks for itself. Thanks for my best laugh of the day.

It does make we wonder...what target audience are they trying for with GUEST SPEAKER EXTRAORDINAIRE and free beer at 6pm on a Thursday? If I hadn't already made plans for hosing out the gutters, I might have been there front-row, center....although, a little voice is telling me that this Economist just might be a compensated shill for a sideshow where they'll be pimping condos--but I may be wrong. :idontno:

Don't dismiss this too quickly. This guy holds a doctorate from Wharton. (No small peanuts, that.) Many years ago I worked at Wharton Econometrics in Philadelphia and I can tell you that economists are a hoot. They have a really interesting approach, and if nothing else, it's highly likely that you'd be entertained if you went to listen to him.
