I'm looking for a puppy to give my kids for Christmas. Does anyone have any leads on puppies that will be ready for Christmas? We're in SoWal so we'd like to find one within a reasonable distance (NW Florida, South Alabama, South Georgia).

Breed is not too important right now--I want to see what my choices are. However, we'd like a puppy that will grow up to be medium-sized. A mixed breed is o.k. too. It will be adored by 4 beautiful children.

After My uncle passed away this year from a car crash my sister took his 6 month old Mini Doberman Pincher ( never gets bigger than 20 lbs. if that) she hates dogs, but she felt bad because my uncle love him so much. She's looking for a good home for the dog and hopefully a family that has kids. I know she would be willing to bring the dog down if you really wanted him. PM me if you are interested

I just scrolled through the pics- the internet must be the best thing that ever happened to shelters. It just has to generate more business- at least by getting people to the shelter and looking in person!

I hope someone out there appreciates how truly unique Sam II is- there is Aust. Cattle Dog in there somewhere . Now that is a face only a mother could love!

kinda the same with people who dont like cats. they usually say it's because "cats are so sneaky/you can't control them" , something to that effect. and they're right. but to me, that just makes it more cool when a cat falls in love with you, because you know you earned their trust. i have no real desire to control them.

on the other hand, can't imagine any reason not to love dogs.
they just live to love us.

That is so true KB, the thing I love the most about dogs is that unconditional love they give us. I wish more people were like dogs!
