Christmas Puppies

New posts
Just so you know, I have to close my eyes now when scrolling down this thread....every dog deserves a home. I am making a donation today!!!

Thanks for everyone's help. I will check on the rescue puppies. My husband is a vet (but not practicing right now) and he is a big believer in mixed breed dogs because they don't have a lot of the health problems found in pure breds. I do want a puppy--training is no problem. I think it will be easier for a puppy to adjust to our crazy household 4 kids and 2 cats (that adopted US).

Well, the kids are out of school tomorrow so we may make a trip to the Panama City Humane Society. This puppy may have to be a Thanksgiving present because I want to bring one home now!

heeheeee... "for the kids", indeed. ;-)

you be sure to post a photo if you come home with one, ok?

Or even rescue an older dog. My potty training days are over. No more changing diapers or getting a kid or animal to the potty or outside. No more gettng up at night. Other than some "getting to know the routine" accidents and teaching him a consistent way to ask to go out, getting a new dog that is older has been really easy.

I'm with you there!! The best dog I ever had was my rescued Grey Hound!!! He was sooo great with kids and so loving!
(Didn't do to well with small animals though, but some do fine)

Just don't ever let them get loose. They'll be in the next state in ten minutes flat.. :floor:

:lolabove: Not really. We had to stop getting real trees. The only bad thing he did was pee on real Christmas trees!!! My husband got so mad one time he threw the whole tree - lights, orniments, tinsle and all - out the back door. I can laugh about it now, wasn't funny at the time! :floor:
