Lynnie? What happened to Lynnie? We kept in touch in ATL, and I would grab her mail from her house in SRB for her on occasion, but then, her email changed, and she dropped off of the radar.

Anybody keep in touch with her?

“You can’t go home again”. Sadly? Nostalgic? Bittersweet? I was speaking with a group of folks recently and realized that I was the closest things to an area native amongst the bunch. Freaked me out a little bit. The culture of the area has changed so dramatically since the recovery these last 5 years. There are still occasional glimpses and reminders of the small town charms but things ain’t what they used to be. I miss you guys and others who aren’t here but used to be. I miss me from a decade ago for that matter. I’m happy, but it’s different, and I liked the back then happy too. In a perfect world I’d have both and we would always ALL have Sunday brunch.

Progress in a beautiful area always sucks. We've suffered more than average I'd say because of the money hungry soulless hoards that have moved here permanently in order to suck our blood.

Other than that I really love giant houses and streetlights

I'd have Sunday brunch with ya anytime.
I haven't been to SoWal in THREE years. THREE. I used to go THREE times a year. This makes me tremendously sad. But, life happens. After reading this and other threads, I'm wondering if I'd even know the place any more.

I used to have Sunday brunch every week at the old Fire location....bottomless mimosas, great friends, good food and usually the beach afterward...life was good in Grayton 7 years ago!!
