People will b*tch no matter what they do. Then afterwards, the government will have to pay millions to fund an investigative committee. My .02

Yep. Either way you run the risk of something happening everytime you take pub. transport. Hell, I work in the building that's #6 on the target list. So what do you do? :idontno:

It was this or passing out flyers in Wal-Mart in Destin. I chose the first choice.

They're saying taxis are impossible to get this afternoon in NYC (terrorists, rain, both make it impossible to get a cab in NYC). Kimmifunn, I hope you have a backup plan!

Share a cab with a cute boy!

I just had to call my own daughter in ATL to tell her to be careful. TERRORISM AT GEORGIA TECH!

When I got into my car at lunch, an Atlanta radio station said that there had been an explosion at Georgia Tech and that they didn't know if it was terrorism or not. They also said they had evacuated the campus. I couldn't get my daughter on the phone and flipped out!!!!! A few minutes later she called me back. She knew nothing of it; she was shopping in Buckhead. LOL - so typical! I told her not to return to campus because I didn't know at that time if it was a dirty bomb or what. She said her next class was at 2. My husband then called me and told me that it was 3 bombs in a garbage bag and that it was being treated like a terrorist act, but it was okay for her to go to class. I called her, and she seemed disappointed. That's my girl!

What a pain to have to deal with this terrorism stuff!

Oh Kimmi...I was thinking of you too! My NYC friend just moved to an apt in the West Village...right over the SUBWAY and had left her 18 yo daughter there to come here and visit! But, I can see that in true GRITS spirit you have just taken a CAB!!! Daddy will gladly pay for that....hmmmm...have you thought about hiring a driver?

 Thank you!

Is that the girl working for Federated? I live in the W. Village too!

I did cab it...but Gussie didn't pay for it. He calls it independence day. He's been gabbing about it for years, but this time I think he's serious. I just had to pay for my own ticket home for Christmas and usually that's a parent thing. You know? :idontno:

Dam* girl...that's harsh!!! You must have bleed him dry in your youth!!!

No, that would be my grown up friend that is here now! The gal that started at Federated is the daughter of my goodest friend in Dallas. She lives more midtown near Lex. She just finished her training weeks and has now been paired up with a buyer. She is loving the city life....well, at least she was before the subway fiasco!!!

I bled him dry clear up to the age of 25.

That's so funny. Publicity sits amongst all the buyers. The funny thing is they have 2 new girls that I have to clear my stuff for. How ironic!
