Are Jet ski allowed?

[Herbie]

I live in Destin, Florida and I would like to know if I can bring my jet ski to Lake Powell? I know there is a ramp in bay county but every time I search it brings me to SoWal website.

I believe they are legal in Bay County. Technically they are not permitted in coastal dune lakes in Walton Co, but Walton Co only controls the far Western side.

The reason they aren't permitted in dune lakes is that they are very shallow and the jets severely damage the lake bottom, stirring up silt and damaging grasses that grow on the lake bed.
