I hooked into a pomp a couple of weeks ago using frozen shrimp, but he turned toward me and spit the hook. Haven't been since then. I did just pick up a new surf combo from BPS, so I'm itching to get out.

Found a spot 2 weeks ago holdin small reds,big blues,a sheepyhead,ladyfish and plenty of bait. And I'm not giving it up but it's on the beach and no need to even get your feet wet. But sadly no pomps around or mainly cause I use Lures.
Further South around Homasassa-ish, we hit on the 20/20 club. That's 20 gator trout over 20". I like to find that club around here but keep looking for it.
