Every year we seem to wait too late to get a Jan-March rental.... any one have any ideas or suggestions on getting a snow bird?

I know there is a snowbird club and they plan activities and put out a newsletter - maybe you could advertise in their newsletter. I will send an e-mail to my snowbird - she was an officer of this club at one time - maybe she can help get the word out.

Afraid I don't understand your "wait too late" comment, as long as your place is on VRBO and gets viewed. A couple suggestions ... add your winter monthly rate to the website. Consider becoming "pet-friendly" because we snowbirds, if we have pets, can't or don't want to leave them behind for weeks and months. It gets more and more difficult every year to find pet-friendly owners. Just my two cents worth.......

Check out the web for some "up north" areas with big concentrations of Seniors (i.e., Friendly Village in NJ... or the like) and see if they have any local papers or HOA flyers where you can purchase a small ad. If you've got a large house with a few bedrooms--think the "Golden Girls" angle--and think "discount". ;-)
