Which ones are your faves?:D

Yes I like Paula too, especially when are sons join her. Also like Barefoot Contessa and Down Home with the Neelys. All very different, but fun to watch.

I've always liked to cook (special things; not day-to-day, eat-to-survive stuff). Our daughter does too. She started watching Food Network when she was about ten; some days that would be all she watched. That's how she learned the art of cooking and why she can cook complete meals with no recipes. When she went off to college, hubby and I continued to watch it due to the fond memories of watching it with her.

I think she likes Barefoot Contessa the best. I know that hubby and I do. We also like Giada, and we like to make fun of Paula (one stick of butter, 1 cup of sour cream, one cup of mayonnaise,).

Big Alton Brown / Good Eats fan. The show isn't heavy on recipes, but it is great for learning how to do things and why certain foods cook the way they do. You can apply it to anything you cook.

Our daughter loves Alton Brown because he explains the science of his recipes. She's an MIT alumnae, so it's right up her alley. His pancake recipe is awesome and is a regular at our house.

OMG!! I am an addict. I even watch them while I am cooking something else. My husband doesn't cook, but he tries not to miss Guy Fieri on TRIPLE D (Diners, Driveins and Dives). One day I'm going on a tour of those places.

amelia, if I EVER get to take my Route 66 trip, I'm planning on stopping at as many of the TRIPLE D places as I can.

I used to be a bigger fan of his until I got curious about who autographed his refrigerator on Guy's Big Bite. Care to guess?

LOL!! Aw, give him the benefit of the doubt....."they" probably made him do it, or there's a story behind it, or......he's just a d-bag.
