Trip Report

New posts
way to go LadyD! great report, and you seemed to have really enjoyed the vacay. Thomas' Donuts - I LOVE This little place in Panty Maw. and little diners are some of my very favorite places to eat while vacationing (or anytime). I've never been to Bellingrath Gardens - sounds really beautiful!

Thanks Tootsie. But Skunky reminded me I had forgotten to include the stuff about our stay in Inlet Beach. And to think I practically wrote a book and forgot the best part, our stay at the beach. We had a great time. Thomas' Donuts was packed Saturday morning. We took one more drive around Front Beach Rd. and Thomas Drive before heading out and there was a line like you wouldn't believe outside of that place. We had stopped there twice when we were down and ate there. Not busy at all last week. It's a great place. Tootsie, you and Kurt need to go visit Bellingrath Gardens sometime. It is really nice. Worth seeing.

well, tell away! sounds like you were right on the beach, correct? I think Inlet Beach is the best place to stay - out of the way a little, but still convenient to a lot on 30A and PC.

Yes, the place we stay is right on the beach. When we first started renting from this couple their ad in our local paper said step off of deck onto the beach. They weren't kidding. We took our beach chairs and sat out on the beach Saturday afternoon after getting in. Took a dip in the gulf. Took a beach walk. Did the same every day, around 9:30 in the morning and then again in the afternoon around 4:00. Got a little brave and went in the water every day. Just kept an eye out for fins and jellyfish. Didn't go in one time two years ago. By the time Friday rolled around Walton Magnolia Ln. was full up with cars for the holiday weekend. It kind of was nice to have some other renters around. Two years ago it was just us and it was creepy. We stay right off of 30A practically. Not 5 minutes from Rosemary Beach.

Yeah, Audie, not only did it pretty much get rid of my stresses, it had my husband pretty much relaxed also other than his little temper tantrum after getting drenched at Bellingrath. He has had bad problems with his neck for a long time now, he sits on a forklift 12 hours a day and has to look back alot when backing it up and it literally has made a mess of his neck where he can hardly turn it. It didn't bother him one time down at the beach, but when he came home yesterday from work it had already started bothering him again. Not good. They need to put rearview mirrors on those things. Don't see why they couldn't.
