Maybe next year try to hit some of the places you would like to eat at lunch when the restaurant is less crowded. If that doesn't work, you can do what I do sometimes ...... leave hubby's butt at home.

Welcome back and I'm glad you had a good vacation. Just remember, eating at Taco Bell or Waffle House at the beach is still better than eating at Taco Bell or Waffle House in Memphis. Am I right?

Although eating at either of these joints may promote a breakdown of gastrointestinal tranquility.

I would have to leave him sitting at the beach house like I did when I met IBD and Cork at Wild Olives.

I agree Skunky. But believe it or not, the two tacos I ate didn't bother me a bit. I had some problems the first day or so there but got ok after that and am fairly tolerable feeling right now. Ate the tacos Friday night. I think the relaxation really helped.

Lady, I leave mr. dd at home all the time, especially if it involves traveling any distance...like 5-6 miles:D He hates driving/riding in the car. So, I just go without him.

Maybe your GI issues will be cured if you can find a way to relax and avoid anyplace that has an extra value menu or growth strategy that involves interstate exit ramps.:idontno:

 Well, don't worry about the extra value menu, don't eat that very often. As a matter of fact, I am more of a grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken salad eater. Granted they are probably not totally good for you either but are better for you than a McDonalds cheeseburger and value fry.

:floor: ...oh my goodness, this is making me laugh so hard.

Speaking of the beach, I just spoke to the man we rented the townhouse from. He said the cleaning lady came in there Saturday after we left to clean and took a walk down by the pier and saw several sharks she claims were around 12 feet long. :yikes: We saw sharks but not near that long. May have even seen them right in front of the place we rent. He said he could not believe that.

way to go LadyD! great report, and you seemed to have really enjoyed the vacay. Thomas' Donuts - I LOVE This little place in Panty Maw. and little diners are some of my very favorite places to eat while vacationing (or anytime). I've never been to Bellingrath Gardens - sounds really beautiful!
