Thanks for all the good thoughts y'all. Just got back from the wedding...consumed 4 gin and tonics with a lime and a straw. Danced like a fool. Made all those twentysomethings do this... .

You're making me laugh. Tonight Merman and I took a walk down the Monon Trail (which is like the path in SoWal) and ended up near Broad Ripple Village. That's our version of Greenwich Village. Lots of cute shops, bars, and tons of young people. We were the oldest people there and it sure was funn going "sightseeing."

Anyway, we walk by this one bar with great big open windows just like Bud & Alley's has and on the spur of the moment we decided to go in for a beer. They had a $2 Killians special. Merman remarked that we were old enough to be everyone's parents, and that all those sweet young things "don't come in for the cheapie special." (true true) Hand me the blue plate, honey!!

Bless your hearts. I  you both. You are my heroes.

Hang in there!!! When the youngest was abroad and in third world countries, I would not watch the news. I always believe it is good when I do not hear from one of my girls. If there is a problem, I always get a call. :D

Have faith...he will be safe with lots of stories to tell!!

A mom not worry? Is that possible? We will keep you both in our prayers, although you may need them more than him. You've got us to keep you sane.

That is part of the job description, isn't it!! That is why my face has lots of lines and creaves...too much time thinking!

You know dbuck...this is a very wise post. We can all use a loving slap of the face back to reality sometimes.

However, good luck "keeping" me sane. That train left long ago. :trainwreck:

Ha! I was just telling BR that I have a furrow between my brows the size of the Grand Canyon. Three bets as to WHO put it there and the first two don't count. :floor:
