American Idol Season 6

[Beach Runner]

Okay, I just have one thing to say.
Somebody get that poor little girl some Prozac!!

This dates me, but I remember being a little girl crying on the 5th row at a Beatles concert. I wore a hot pink minidress to attract attention, and I was certain that Paul McCartney was going to see me and ask me to marry him.

uh, I think we ALL thought that about Paul. Even Peter Noone & Dave Clarke. (Even if I wasn't at a Beatles concert!)

Agreed. And Mick, whom I still think is hot, despite the fact that the wrinkles in his face are so deep, he could hide a joint in one. I love the way he shakes his booty.

Sorry for the tangent. Can't wait for the next episode of American Idol.

I thought it might be Steph...sure glad it wasn't Chris.

Late as usual, but FTLOG Sanjaya is STILL there!!?? No offense to those of you who like him, but jeez...Stephanie left before him? The universe is NOT aligned!
Loved Jordin..

I read a post today from a woman who went to the dress rehearsal of American Idol yesterday. She said that everyone was shocked by Sanjaya. At the dress rehearsal, the whole audience went crazy! No one could believe it! She said also that Phil was much better in the dress rehearsal, was the nicest of all the singers! She said Stephanie acted like a diva and Blake was non-descript! The little girl started crying at the rehearsal and said it lasted about 5 hours! How could you have 5 hours of tears?
I know Paula went to AI last year. I think it would be a blast to go!

I agree. He was very sexy and charismatic, but he spoke many of his lyrics instead of singing them, like "now" in the phrase, "Girl, you really got me now." Even the Today Show this morning suggested that the little girl crying might have kept him from being the one booted off.

Maybe she was planted in the audience?

Sanjaya sure is cute, but I can't believe Stephanie got booted before him.

I'm rooting for Melinda and Phil.

The universe must be comprised primarily of teenagers, I guess. And each and every one of them owns a cell phone, evidently.
Either that or it's another side effect of global warming.

On our local news that followed American Idol, there was a film interview with that little girl. She was on the set for the filming of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader and the show asked them if they would like to attend the American Idol show. Our news said she is 13 years old. Don't know whether she had a sibling participating in that show or whether they were just in the audience.
