Freeport would be the best place as opposed to Niceville or Destin (having to drive west during the summer would be a pain) Do you recall the stable's name?

A board search for horse turned up this link - http://www.rockybayoustables.com/boarding.htm
thanks Kurt...Kailey, if she spends the summer with me, and she gets a horse, would want to board said horse near by....:idontno: this is all alot of supposition...but even if there is no horse...she would probably still want to keep up her riding skills.:D

Allifunn, my daughter's reading teacher has horses and a stable on 393 near Gulf Place. I don't know if she boards or not but I'll check for you. I wish she would teach riding. She is great, my daughter loves her, she let her come riding not too long ago!

There's a development going in near Bruce called The Stables at Sandy Pines. There's going to be a common barn there and also riding trails. Not sure if you'll be able to board if you don't live there, but worth checking out. I've also been looking for boarding for when I eventually move there. Let me know if you find anything else out.

So if you board a train at a train station, and you board a ship at a port, and you board a plane at an airport... :idontno:

thanks SM...let me know what you find out! Maybe she would be willing to board...if she knows it is just for a month, and Kailey would take care of it daily. Kailey has been riding since she was 6...and for a year she owned a horse...she was 13. The summer of her 14th year..she decided socializing was more important. We sold the horse. Now, 2 years later she is getting back into it and I am thrilled!

 Will have to check into this as well...thanks

I photographed one farm west of Freeport last year and I don't know if it sold or if it is open to boarding. There are a few places here and there which means you might have to hit the ground and make direct inquiries.

There are even a few small farms in SoWal that might let you do something temporary, maybe if they need an extra hand or something.
