Snowing in Michigan Today!

Crazy but it snowed in Michigan today on and off. That's April in Michigan! So thankful to have our place on 30A, even if we can't be there all the time. It's a good escape from the April snow in Michigan, if only in our dreams...

I was watching a baseball game last night NY vs Michigan and saw the flurries! Come to the beach, Paula!

Back in 1987 it snowed in Atlanta one day in April. It actually stuck and people started leaving work early to avoid frozen roads. Most of it was gone the next morning.

I live in Michigan and got back from SoWal two weeks ago to 70 degree weather for a week, but the bottom has fallen out and it's been in the 40's the past few days. We had snow showers, but nothing that actually stuck to the ground. Sunny and in the Mid to high 60's all next week though.

The latest I've ever seen snow in southern Michigan is April, although the old folks say it has snowed in May. Usually early April is our last measurable snow in this area. April is a transitional month that can range from downright cold to 70's and even low 80's. Average high's are low 60's. I can't stand winters here, but there is nothing like a summer in Michigan, especially on the water and beaches of Lake Michigan.

I lived in Marquette many years ago and it snowed in one day in June there big beautiful flakes. Didn't last long, maybe a day.
