Open Records

I wasn't referring to your post. I was referring to Scott making an ass of himself last night.

Ha, go back and listen to the moderators at the beginning when Scott was refusing to show up. It was clearly over the fan because they were told it was about the fan. They even comment on how Scott's handlers showed them the debate rules about fans. Scott is just trying to spin it as best he can.

Yep, I can't defend Scott. Then again, I'm not sure how anyone can tolerate Crist either.

Kind of like Obama vs Romney, just at the state level.

Yeah, 'Murrica.

Guess Gov. Scott doesn't plan on making any changes with regards to Government in the Sunshine. Can't believe the open records folks aren't raising all kinds of hell on this. Where is Representative Gaetz's in this matter?

Not sure I disagree with Scott's stance on this 100%. Staff communication, government business etc.. i fully understand. Travel and personal schedules I do not agree with. I would agree to provide the information to an approved third party and a subsequent monthly public audit. We do not need to know what our public officials are doing 24/7 for a variety of reasons, but a timely published audit would suffice in my opinion. The balance of the requests I would see as an issue.

I think government business should be conducted using government e-mail. But travel and schedules? Not so much. I think the Tampa Bay Times is trying to push the issue. I wonder why? Hmmmmm.

So the travel you most likely pay for is none of your business? Would you allow a subordinate in a business to refuse to disclose their schedule to you? That second question is valid as the governor is subordinate to the voters of Florida.
