Beware of FHP parked at Western lake

New posts
It only appears that way due to the smaller number of people here. I'm betting speeding citations by percentage go down during the winter.

I point out to visitors that the cops rarely run radar during the summer season. The day after Labor Day, they turn it back on again. I also noted, on Sep 2nd, an FHP car "hiding" in the median on 98 near Walmart where the speed drops. Didn't see one there all summer long.

I think its because THEY dont even like to navigate 30A during the summer.......

My girlfriend (we won't mention names) was busted last year at Gulf Place right on 30A. Not a soul on the road, we were out holiday shopping, doing our part, shopping local.. then speed limit drop.. we didn't even notice. damn! sometimes when there aren't people or bikes or pedestrians out on the road, we need a reminder to GO VERY SLOW anyway. She had to go to driving rehab.

Is there a stretch by Draper that is 15mph? Not that I would go over the donkey bridge any faster than that anyway...

Yes there is a 15 MPH speed limit sign approaching the Draper Lake bridge. People going much faster than that on that bridge aren't using common sense.

Yeah...but that's temporary. It will bump back up when the bridge and roadway get repaired which in Sowal will occur in 3-1/2 to 4 years!

Where was he / she when the guy in the new grey Lamborghini was flying thru there at about 50 this afternoon?
