We started a mini-rant about the issue of meat locker AC in the "real way to reduce gas prices" thread, then got back on topic.

AC is supposed to make one more comfortable, not enact climatic change!

Summer in Florida and I'm wearing long pants and sweaters because of the insane AC! Definitely wouldn't mind if they nudged the thermostat 5-10 degrees so you could be dressed for both the outdoors and indoors!

I hate to revive a mini-rant, especially when it's a full-blown rant for me. I went to class yesterday in pants and a jacket. I was going to stick around and practice on a grand piano, but I was too darned cold. Cold!

For years I've blamed myself because I work outside and don't have central heat & A/C in my house; I'm not acclimated to climate control. Today it was 90, but my dear little house was about 77 with the ceiling fans. It's freakin' ridiculous when I can't go to a public place without freezing my tail off.

The CRAZIEST part (and then I'll be done) was going to a musical event at Park Tavern, adjacent to Piedmont Park, on Sunday in Atlanta. The bands were outside the tavern on the AIR CONDITIONED PATIO! I was freezing, and it was OUTSIDE!

It's also supposed to keep the deer away so they won't eat up your plants, but we've tried it. It doesn't help.

A friend of mine used to work at a Pike's store in Atlanta. He said that a lady come in one day and said, "I hear that human urine will keep deer out of the yard. Do you sell any of that?"
